Friday Night Social Mission

What began as a Friday night happy hour, with a posse of exuberant senior friends morphed into something bigger and definitely much better. Early this year our esteemed friend, Linda thought that we needed an organized event to gather when members of our friend circle were in town. Because we are a jolly group of seniors, many of us travel and aren’t always available so our group might range from 4 to 14 depending upon who is around. One of us will phone a location to see if they take reservations (some don’t but not a problem) and make a plan for the group. We usually emerge from our villa about 4:00-4:30 to get the happy hour prices.

Our most recent foray was to Mosaic in Geneva, a fabulous Mediterranean restaurant in Geneva. Nick, the owner has treated us like royalty and we’ve actually gone back 3 times now. Typically, we head to a different location on Fridays in the tri-city area recommended by one of our group members, but we’re all in love with Nick and want to give him top priority. More on this April 25 when we bounce back to Mosaic.

So, here is the grand plan. We will blog the establishments that we visit each week, share photos of the food, drinks, adorable employees, and of course our illuminated Happy Hour sign that travels with us. Our hope is that you will like our blog and frequent some of the locations we recommend. In the meantime, Cheers and Social!!
